Balancing Heart surely gets the gold medal for most interesting names for wines. There’s a marriage of pure lemon juice, lemon curd and preserved lemon lending light and shade to this wine. A touch of vanilla and a good shake of ground cinnamon and clove spice here, too. But the mainframe is that array of lemon character – from tart through to sweet and something slightly more fermenty and tangy. It all works superbly; it dials up the volume on the variety and invites conversations about complexity. Cool wine.
