This does the variety well. It’s got bloody, savoury elements, floral, dried rose petal and violet notes, game meat, raspberry, anise and dried herbal notes in spades. A lift of alpine herb and crushed rock minerality lends complexity. The texture is quite dense and plush but it lifts with rivulets of saline acidity and courses with chewy, puckering, refreshing tannin. Flavours extend long and well. A wine of complexity, verity to the variety and great, great interest. So worthy. Please do.
