Our Story
Inspired by the natural granite rock formation in the vineyard, which resembles a ‘balancing heart, our ethos embodies the belief that when everything is in ‘balance’ we can create exceptional wine and memorable experiences.
Our Origin
Our vineyard owners, Greg and Lee-Anne Kentish, began this phase of Balancing Heart’s journey in July 2020.They purchased the vineyard after falling in love with the area years before and becoming regular visitors to the winery when it was previously known as Balancing Rock.
Greg has aspirations grow Balancing Heart into one of Australia’s must-visit vineyards with exciting plans to expand our cellar door and add boutique accommodation offerings in the years to come.
Balancing Heart’s award-winning Winemaker Mike Hayes®, brings over 40 years of experience to our wines and was named 2017 Australian Winemaker of the Year. To date, Mike is still the only Queenslander to have ever earned the accolade.
Together, our Balancing Heart team strives to deliver an unforgettable experience to every visitor to our boutique vineyard.
